Did I just say “Beautiful Shiny Glossy Healthy Locks”? Yes it is possible. Today I am going to give you the lowdown on some products that produce amazing results for hair.

But first what makes hair feel soft and look amazing. Hair looks great when it is smooth, when the edges of the hair fall into place and the light reflects off its smooth top. For hail to look smooth the edges have to be smooth and for that the cuticles have to be smooth. When the cuticles are not smooth hair, appears frizzled, fried and starts getting split ends. This can happen due to the lack of love we give to our hair, brushing it roughly, tugging at it, over drying, sun damage and of course over washing, yes over washing that’s a thing.

There are plenty of ways to treat our hair nicely by using nature’s bounty (not the brand but the things that nature has given us). .

  • Hydration

Hydration is key to keep hair nourished and relaxed

Pure oil like coconut, olive and mustard is great to use. You can also use expensive oils like argan, almond and jojoba oil. If accessing these oils in their pure form is not possible there are plenty of oil blends available that can also help to get your hair where you want it. Vitamin E tablets or serums for hair are great to use as well.

  • Strength

Strength is key for healthy hair

Hair that is strong will withstand minor damage easily. Much like us our hair also needs protein to grow stronger and remain healthy. You must have heard of protein treatments, but an easy way to give your hair a protein bath at home is to apply protein from eggs or yogurt. You can mix these with honey to add gloss and shin to your hair.

  • Love

Love is the third big factor to make your hair look and feel great

No more tugging, pulling, straightening, curling, pinning, punching and miming. Its ok to style your hair from time to time but maybe doing it every day is over doing it. Let your hair run its natural course on most days and try to keep styling for a few days of the week.

  • Sleep

Beautiful sleep is not just good for your skin it is also essential for healthy hair.

Additionally choose a pillow case that is made of silk. Silk’s smooth texture won’t rough up your hair cuticle when you sleep the way cotton does, leaving you with smoother hair in return.

  • Food

Who can forget food.

A diet rich in iron, zinc, Omega-3 fatty acids, and protein will help stimulate your hair follicles for growth. Alternating between lean red meat, chicken, and fish during the week will result in optimum hair health.

  • Washing not over washing

Always wash your hair with lukewarm water.

Never too hot; the colder you an bear the better it is for your hair. Ideally it would be great if you can wash your roots and avoid the ends. And condition your ends and avoid the roots.

I love the Murumuru Butter & Rose Masque Sachet – it is really easy to use and replaces a conditioner – but is much more than that. The mask is a rich mix of ingredients like murmur butter which is sourced from the Amazon and is known as the ‘lungs of our planet,’ This fruit grows on the murumuru palms in swamps or very damp soils. The rich butter is derived from the seeds of this plant. It is a very rare ingredient – I have actually never seen it in any other beauty product.

The next recommended product is the Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang Shampoo 3-In-1 Benefit Oil. It can be used as a pre or post shampoo treatment. After using it my hair looked like a mirror with a sharp shine and gloss that I had never seen before.
